All your questions, answered

  • The race starts at Broadway and Market just outside Kiener Plaza. To see Kiener Plaza on a map, click here. The race will finish at St. Louis Union Station.

  • Convenient paid public parking is available at Union Station (view map). You may also find lots near Market Street on SpotHero (click here to search). You are also welcome to use free Sunday street parking wherever you can find a spot!

  • No; the Market Mile is a point-to-point course that starts at Broadway and Market just outside Kiener Plaza and ends at Union Station, where everyone will gather for the Post-Race Party.

  • We are proud to partner with Lodging Hospitality Management (LHM), who is our official Post-Race Party sponsor at St. Louis Union Station!

    You can stick around afterwards for food, drinks, live music, and more on the Purina Performance plaza.

  • Yes! Whether you are running with your local run club, a work group, friends or family, we welcome teams of runners to the Market Mile.

  • We will finalize waves we when we are closer to the race date. When you register, you’ll be prompted to tell us about your approach to this event, and how much you care about your time. You will be assigned a wave based on your answer.

  • Packet pickup locations will be announced closer to race day here on our website and via email. If you can’t pick up your packet before race day, you can pick it up on race day, before the walk/run begins.

  • We run rain or shine, unless there’s inclement weather. If lightning is present, we will delay the start by 30 minutes. Race volunteers and staff members will guide participants into areas with shelter. We will not start the race if we feel the forecast puts our runners or walkers in danger while participating.

    In the event of a weather-related cancellation, all participants will be offered a 50% ticket cost refund.

  • Race tickets are nonrefundable, but we do have a deferral system in place on Race Roster. If you need to defer your ticket, please contact contact@marketmilestl.com.

  • Training before a race is a great way to ensure you have fun! If you would like help getting ready for the Market Mile, we encourage you to reach out to Spewak Training, our official race training partner. Simply email Mark Spewak at mark@spewaktraining.com and request a call to discuss training for the Market Mile.

  • Yes. Keeping our participants safe is our number one priority. From set up to the tear down, a full security and police officer team will be present to secure the event and keep everyone safe. Volunteers will also join our security guards to help support participants on the race route should they need anything.

  • Yes! Strollers are welcome in our non-competitive waves, but not the competitive division.
